Everything's sent - and the book's now out

Hi folks! Thanks for all your patience as we worked through things - you should now have all your books, dice, maps, art prints and Shattered City goods. If there's anything you think you should have received but haven't, please do drop us a line.

Meanwhile, Shattered City is now on sale on the UFO Press and Rowan, Rook and Decard sites! We're very proud to see it out in the world. Hope you're enjoying the game.

Art print checks

Hi folks! A very quick update to say that UK and EU art prints have begun printing, and North American ones will start Monday. For some backers, we need to check that your art print choice is correct. If that applies to you, you should already have an email from me asking you to confirm your pick, with a link to a form to fill out. If you have any more questions, please just drop me a line.

Art prints and wide release

Hi folks! Mary here again, with a few updates on the final phases of the project. 

Shipping sorted

If you ordered a physical book from us, your parcel should now have shipped - and hopefully it should be with you by now. There are a few countries where shipping has taken longer, notably Brazil and Poland where customs delays are pretty huge right now, but if you think you should have had a parcel and it's nowhere to be seen, please drop me a line at [email protected] so I can find out what's happened. Thanks to everyone who helped us to diagnose the issues we had with damages - we should now have shipped out replacements to everyone who experienced problems, but again if you're not sure or you want to report an issue, please send me an email and we'll do our best to make it right.

Art prints incoming

We've received some samples from our UK and US art printers, and we're very happy with the quality, so we'll be going ahead with printing and sending those out to everyone who backed at a level that included a print. We'll need to book in time on the printer, then these will ship out to backers directly from there, probably in about 2 weeks time.

Final phase of the project

We're going to be putting Shattered City out for broader release and purchase in a few weeks' time, once we've confirmed the art prints are on their way. We're hoping this will coincide with Gen Con weekend -we're all gutted that we can't be there in person this year due to Covid restrictions on flights, but we hope to see some of you there next year. 

We're still on the hunt for a French translator for the finished book, after some talks earlier in the year ended inconclusively. We'll keep you informed about this as we go.

Thanks for all your support for this project, especially as it's gone through some tricky times. We're really proud of the final product, and we hope you're enjoying the game!

Hi folks, Mary here from Rowan, Rook and Decard - we're picking up and helping Mina with distribution for the last few parts of Shattered City.

US and Canada shipping is go

After checking the situation at the US border, we've made the decision to send out North American orders individually from the UK. This is a lot more costly for us, but it avoids more delays - we would have been looking at a freight shipment taking somewhere between six weeks and six months to arrive with our ideal US partners, and we don't want to keep you waiting any longer at this stage. Kixto are picking and packing the parcels this week, and we hope you'll be receiving them soon.

Art print update

We're going to be sending out A3 art prints to backers separately from the books, to avoid needing to fold them and damage them in the process - and apologies, because we don't think this was mentioned sooner, and thanks to the folks who got in touch to point it out. We're just waiting on a test set to confirm quality, and then these will go out directly. We'll update again on this once everything's sent.

New email for questions & issues

Now that RR&D is supporting on this project, there are more of us around to answer questions and make sure that any issues get dealt with swiftly. If you have questions or anything is wrong with your parcel, please drop us a line at [email protected] and we'll get back to you as soon as we can.

Good news! By the time you get this update, all orders for backers outside North America have shipped. Please get in touch if you haven't received your order by the end of next week.

For folks in North America, we are getting some quotes for fulfilling your parcels directly from where the books currently are. Other folks in the industry - as well as other industries - are experiencing long delays in getting goods into the US. There are delays at the borders getting freight into the country, plus issues with getting goods across and around the US, and all that's on top of USPS challenges. So rather than risk additional delays to the project, we think the best option is likely to involve sending most of your books from the UK, and potentially splitting a few parcels where that makes sense and there are already books with our US distributor. We'll make a decision this week and let you know the plan.

Thanks for your patience - I hope you're as happy with the book when you get it as I am.
